Nüart Gallery presents Rational + Emotional Interrelations, an exhibition featuring new work by Peter Stephnes & Rose Masterpol.
In 'Rational + Emotional Interrelations,' artists Peter Stephens and Rose Masterpol unveil a thoughtfully crafted collection of distinct and emotive abstractions. Their works delve into inner depths, blending technical dynamism with emotional equilibrium, inviting viewers to explore their own reflective possibilities.
Peter Stephens continues to evolve his compositional language in pursuit of the enigmatic optic potential of light by delving deep into the essence and interplay of color, form, and surface. By following various currents of energy, frequency, and vibration, Stephens in turn unveils the wonders of perception and the intricate richness of connection. Working above an underlying grid of complimentary color panels, he employs subtle modulations in acrylic line work to create mesmerizing matrices akin to textiles and architectural mosaics. Inspired by scientific patterns and mathematical formulas, these complex, mutable layers unfold gradients of reality, evoking places, memories, emotion, and cultural associations underneath hypnotic rhythms and meticulous methodology.
Rose Masterpol's new body of work reflects a space of transformation where thoughts are expressed as shapes and colors that ebb and flow like waves. In her paintings, elements are interacting to create a sense of atmospheric depth. The compositions maintain a balance between light colors connected and overlapping dark tones taking the viewer on a journey through various types of emotions.Guided by the influences of nature, poetry, and holistic truth, Masterpol's subjective language aims to represent the essence of human connection amid the complexities of modern life.
