Beckoning is a solo exhibition with new work by artist John Tarahteeff. In this exhibition, Tarahteeff invites viewers into the imaginative realm where playfulness and nostalgic whimsy take center stage. Each painting showcases Tarahteeff's exceptional skill in manipulating movement and gesture, resulting in dynamic compositions that resonate with both visual allure and emotional resonance. Through his creative process, each character embraces the fluidity of narrative, allowing his work to reveal deeper insights through their suggestive and open-ended qualities.

John Tarahteeff, a visionary artist from Santa Clara, California, is celebrated for his classically rendered compositions, captivating audiences with his thought-provoking explorations of scale, lighting, and the psychological tension between innocence and knowledge. He studied art at the University of California at Davis and continues to live in Northern California. Through his masterful use of acrylic on canvas, Tarahteeff pushes the boundaries of figurative painting, creating immersive artworks that transcend traditional boundaries. His paintings have been featured on the cover of American Art Collector Magazine, and his work is in countless private collections. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions and has been represented by Nüart Gallery for over a decade.
