Randall Reid: Layers of Time

Randall Reid is an artist who incorporates commonplace objects from a different era into adept works of art that comment on our values and act as an emotional archive of our collective experience.  In his solo exhibition, Layers of Time, Reid composes his pieces using utilitarian materials that are both well worn from use, and aged and seasoned by the forces of nature and time.  He carefully edits these materials, deconstructing, recombining and preserving their essence into unique works of art. The results are new, but the layers of time have been exposed.
